Lafayette, Louisiana. Visual artist Colette Bernard (she/they) is creating colorful designs and art to wear. She was born and raised in Acadiana, the culturally rich region of south Louisiana. A common theme in her practice is her relationship with the internet, saturated color, fruits, collage, and her identity as a southern queer person. By combining a variety of both traditional and digital techniques, Bernard emphasizes merging the virtual and physical world.
